School is in!
Poolside, right at the end of summer
Soccer has started! Go Dark Wolves!!!
Coach Jason whipping them into shape!
Travis' team is the "Late Thunder" Why? We don't know why!
Samantha is trying out my new air brush!~ She didn't actually paint that!
Samantha and Travis went back to school on August 20. It has been going very well at their new school. Samantha is enjoying having PE everyday, and learning Spanish. She is also looking forward to choosing an instrument to play in the band.
Travis is going to Apple Blossom and already knows several boys from his soccer team. This is a very exciting year. We have always hoped to have them going to school in the Twin Hills district, and just making the move to "make it happen" is an great step. We hope to someday be living in the area closer to Jason's work and the new schools.

So long summer!
This was the last day of school, Samantha with her friends. She'll miss them when she moves on to Twin Hills!
Family camp, Travis on the climbing wall.
Samantha made it to the top! This is one of her favorite thing.
Getting ready for archery! They went through a lot of instruction, and they all did great!
All right, I know that it has been awhile since I posted. Things have been crazy and this is the last thing on my mind. (Ok, literally this is never on my mind.) Today is the last Friday of summer and my associates and I have a delivery to make to Trader Joes in Fairfield.

The kids have been patient while I worked on my murals! Which is wonderful because the deadline loomed and my stress elevated! Yesterday, we did manage to go shoe shopping for the munchkins after I finished working. What a weight of my shoulders!
Samantha and Travis started soccer practice last Monday. Sam is U-12's this year, and Travis is U-10's. The competition increases! Jason is of course coaching both teams, in addition to being Travis' den leader for Cub Scouts. (More on that later.) Plus, he's working so hard at the shop, taking on more responsibilities every day.
Travis had two camps this summer for Cub Scouts. He also became a "Bear" at the end of the school year. We all attended Family Camp where there were a lot of activities to do! Twilight Camp was 5 evenings (5 hours each) at a local park. Full of activites and acheivements. We also got to see him do a skit with his den. So cute!

Back from Disneyland again
Yes, again! We upgraded to season tickets and now we are able to go all year. This time, we visited some new friends, Christine and Tom Balch. They were so great to let us stay. Way better than any hotel I have been to! So relaxing, comfortable bed. Tom went with me (Michaela) to Classic Industries in Huntington Beach. He waited patiently while I shopped, and let me drive his 425 horse Charger home. We stopped to see his project cars and then they fixed us dinner.
Sunday, Jason and Ray went to Disneyland with the 4 kids, and didn't get home until dark. Debbie, Chris(tine), (her daughter) Andrea and I lazed around. Tom got the the '73 Porsche 911 warmed up and he let me drive (Kermit) to the store. When we got back Chris let me drive her Ferrari. I'm in heaven!
Monday we all went to Disneyland and then drove home. Whirlwind, but wonderful. Meeting new friends and hanging out with old ones!
Thanks Tom and Chris!!

When we went to Disneyland
Just before Thanksgiving of '07, we went to Disneyland with some friends from school. So much fun! We went to a Pirate dinner, and everyone got to be involved. That was an absolute riot. Definitely worth the money. I'd go again in a hearbeat. The kids were just in awe. They also got to go through the Jedi training. Worth the wait. Kids under 12 are allowed and the actors are awesome. Great photo op. We'll go back to the "Happiest Place on Earth" soon.

Travis is a Cub Scout...
Here's a couple of photos of Travis. He has joined Cub Scouts and is a wolf cub. He absolutely loves it. He participated in a popcorn sales fundraiser. He is going to be building a Pinewood derby race car. He is also getting to opportunity to learn how to speak in front of crowds at the Pack meetings. So cute!!

What we're up to!
Samantha and Travis are getting so old! It makes me feel ancient....
Samantha is 10 years old and in the fifth grade. This is most likely the last year at the school that she has gone to since Kindergarten. Next year she will probably be going to Twin Hills Middle school, which is now a charter. Funny thing is that Jason went there for 6th, 7th and 8th grade too! Sammy is doing really well in school and loves the teachers that she has had at Piner elementary. She gets just about straight A's, which is more than I could ever say for her parents. I don't know where she gets it from. She got Jason's math brain and my english/spelling brain...
Travis is 7 years old and in the second grade. He has a lot of friends at Piner and is one of the brighter kids in his class. We know he's smart but it's not hard to say with the class he has. Next year will probably find him at Apple Blossom elementary school. Fortunately for both of the kids, the new school is in the district they play soccer in. They'll already know a lot of the kids at school.
Hello! This is the beginning!
